If you want to convert your designs into vinyl stickers you can do that at http://www.stickeryou.com. It could be more cost-effective than buying a custom printing machine.

You’ll eventually be able to open your own store and sell your designs as stickers through the site.

blade 2
I have found the speed is important when I am cutting tiny letters and shapes. More so than any of the other settings.
Hope this helps you. Oh increase the blade depth if you use a thicker paper.

The cartridges are the different types of pictures and fonts that you can cut out with the cricut machine. All the cartridges have a different theme. There are all sorts of alphabets and pictures for things like weddings, Christmas, birthdays, etc. You will have to purchase the cartridges, because they tell the cricut what to cut, and without them you just have a big paperweight. You don’t need any special paper. You can use just regular cardstock, scrapbook paper, or even white printer paper if you’d like. You just cut it down to the size of your cricuts cutting mat, or smaller if you’re cutting a smaller image, and stick it on. The mat is sticky to hold the paper in place, but it don’t hurt the paper or anything. You plug in the cartridge and place the keyboard mat that comes with the cartridge on the keys. You feed in the cutting mat with your paper on it and key in what you’d like to cut and the cricut goes to work on it’s cutting magic. It’s really a lot of fun and there are so many uses for it. I highly recommend it.

The 2nd link (the walmart one) is the Crict Expression. Its bigger than the original Cricut (the first link). They do the same thing. Just the CE makes the cut outs bigger!!!! Way bigger. The Original does the same but smaller. Up to 5 1/2 inches. The CE isnt as “portable & light weight” as the Original. & it does more than the Original. Such as cutting vinyl (sold on cricut.com) & I believe rumor has it that it does have a bit more strength than the Original. They both use the same cartridges. So you dont have to worry about buying different ones for each machine.

Cartridges range from $ 39.99-$ 89.99
Original Cricut ranges from $ 189.99-$ 299.99
Cricut Expression ranges from $ 289.99-$ 599.99
Mats range from $ 4.99-$ 18.99 (for CE their a bit more $ )

Remember that most of these items are better bought of from Walmart (they carry almost all Cricut/CE items!! & machines for less $ $ $ ) Michaels is having sales like crazy on Cricut/CE & items due to holidays. So when you see that their cheaper than what they could be at Walmart….GOOOO!!! They do sell out quick. The “pens” are just to replace the blade. So rather than cutting it traces. I personally have not tried them out….
As for what Dawn B stated…unfortunately you CAN NOT use the Michaels coupons on ANY Cricut/CE machines or any accessories. Tough luck eh? I guess they saw that ppl were abusing the coupons when the Original Cricut was released. Using up to 2-6 coupons in a day for Cricut items. Idk if Hobby Lobby does take them, or JoAnns for a fact. You might want to look into that. But like I said, doesnt get much cheaper than what it is at WalMart.

These pens are designed to replace the blade housing so you can draw everything you can cut. You can draw your design, replace the pen with the blade and cut the design, now you have a perfectly outlined cut.

If you are interested in the Personal Electronic Cutter, check with Hobby Lobby or Michael’s before you buy. They almost always have coupons (40% off). It will save you big time!

I have the expressions, it was intimidating at the beginning , but if you get the small one and you find out in no time how to use , you are going to want to get the bigger one, so if you are looking to make an nvestment n your cricut then get the big one, notice everyone I know that has the small cricut machine , later got the bigger , so why spending more money, just get the big one

go to http://www.cricut.com communty then messageboard and explore the cartridges they show pictures of crafts made with the cartridges

My mom got one 2 Christmases ago. The cricut Expressions. It is soo easy to use and is much more useful for scrapbooking because it fits a normal page, 12 x 12 i think. So you can use many different choices, and make your pages look wonderful. Besides, they have the most amazing letters, so you wont need to cut them out or in my case, use a sizzix any longer. I know the smaller one has all these options too, but they seem much more helpful in the Expressions. Full pages can be given a design, while in the regular Cricut only half the page can be worked with through the cricut. I absolutely love the Expressions. So helpful with school projects too!!

You must be in the Mix ‘n Match mode to apply two features at the same time. Once you turn the Mix ‘n Match mode on, you just select the Italic and Shadow features in the upper left-hand corner of the keypad. Once you’re done, just select the Reset All button.

Yes. You need to purchase the software called Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL). You can buy it from thescrappingtable.com. You will have to download the program Inkscape as well (it is free). I LOVE SCAL. You can use any font that is on your computer or download any font you like to your computer as well. The scrappingtable.com owner has great tutorials. You can also cut out graphics from the internet as well. And you can create your own graphics in Inkscape. You Tube has good video tutorials as well.

Provocraft hates the guy that created this program. They have tried to block him several times but he keeps outsmarting them
